prominent places in said town at least seven days before such registration.
Said registration shall be conducted by such judges of registration as shall
be appointed by said Mayor and Common Council. Said registrations shall
be conducted between the hours of seven o'clock A. M. and eight o'clock
P. M., when the books shall be closed.

1922, ch. 62, sec. 6.

148. The Mayor shall at least fifteen days before the election to be
held on the first Monday in May, 1922, and biennially thereafter issue a
proclamation calling the legally qualified voters of the town in convention
for the purpose of nominating candidates whose names shall appear on
the ballots for the various offices of the town, and only such names as are
chosen in convention shall appear on the ballots, and none other. The
names of all the candidates who are to appear on the ballots shall be posted
in at least three public places in the town at least ten days before the
election.

The Town Clerk shall be the clerk of the convention, and it shall be
his duty to post publicly the names of the candidates.

1922, ch. 52, sec. 7.

149. It shall be the duty of the Town Clerk at least five days before
each election to post in at least one public place in said town a statement
from the Mayor and Common Council of the financial condition of said
town and of all receipts and disbursements of the town during the pre-
ceding term, and it shall further be the duty of the Mayor and Common-
Council to prepare such statements for distribution by said clerk.

150. All elections hereunder shall be held within the town limits of
such place or places as the Mayor and Common Council of the town of
Capitol Heights shall designate, and a copy of such designation shall be
posted in at least three prominent places in said town at least three days
before each election. Said elections shall be conducted by such judges of
election and such clerks thereof as shall bo appointed by said Mayor and
Common Council. Said elections shall be held from seven o'clock A. M.
to eight o'clock P. M., when the polls shall be closed, and the ballots pub-
licly counted, and the said judges shall within two days after each election
make a true and correct return of the same under their hands to be ad-
dressed and transmitted to the Mayor and Common Council.

151. At a meeting of the said Mayor and Common Council held on
the second day after the election the returns shall be opened by the pre-
siding officer, and certificate of election shall forthwith be issued by the
town clerk to the persons appearing to be elected as Mayor and Treasurer,
respectively, and to each person appearing to be elected, as Councilman
by having received the highest number of votes, and the said certificates
shall be recorded among the proceedings.
