3670 ARTICLE 16.

1912, ch. 790, sec 4.

987. All laws and parts of laws now in force relating or applicable to
Montgomery county, and not included in this act, and not inconsistent
with this act, and all rules and regulations of the County Commissioners
of Montgomery County, heretofore passed in any lawful capacity, and not
inconsistent with this act, are hereby continued until changed or repealed,
respectively, by the General Assembly of Maryland or said county commis-
sioners acting as aforesaid in any lawful capacity; provided, that all acts
or parts of acts passed at the session of the General Assembly of Maryland
in the year nineteen hundred and twelve, relating to Montgomery county,
or in any manner amending or adding to Article 16 of the Public Local
Laws, as said article existed before the passage of this act, shall in no-
wise be affected by the passage of this act, but all such laws shall have the
same force and effect as if this act had not been passed.

988. All officers provided for or named in said act, whether by election
or appointment, shall continue to hold, exercise and discharge the duties
of their respective offices, until they shall be superseded under the pro-
visions of said act, and until their successors shall be duly qualified, and
nothing contained in said act shall be construed to interfere with the
continuity of the term or tenure of any of said officers; nor shall a reap-
pointment or re-election of any of the said officers be necessary in order
to secure the said continuity of their said terms and tenures of office,
unless provided in said act.

989. All those parts of Montgomery and Prince George's Counties
bounded as follows: The Maryland-District of Columbia Boundary, the
Maryland-Virginia Boundary, the westerly corporate limit of Glen Echo,
Cabin John Creek, Conduit Road, Wilson Lane, a straight line from the
intersection of Wilson Lane and River Road to the intersection of Orndorf
Mill Road and Old Georgetown Road, Old Georgetown Road, the road
running easterly past Montrose School to a bend in said road approxi-
mately 4,520 feet east of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad tracks, thence
by a line running South 17 degrees 40 minutes West, 770 feet, South 42
degrees .07 minutes East, 1,033 feet, South 78 degrees 41 minutes East,
1,833 feet, South 72 degrees 6 minutes East, 406 feet, thence by a straight
line Eastwardly to the corner of Brookville Road and Parker Avenue
(same being about 3,173 feet south of Colesville Road), thence by a line
running North 88 degrees 27 minutes East, 1,344 feet in Parker Avenue,
South 44 degrees 27 minutes East, 1,009 feet, North 89 degrees 30 min-
