and thence with said line to the place of beginning.

1918, ch. 447, sec. 2.

982. The Mayor and Common Council of the said Town of Takoma
Park are hereby authorized, empowered and directed at their next levy
following the passage of this Act and every year thereafter to levy a suffi-
cient sum of money to take over, maintain, repair and keep open for public
travel the road hereinbefore described, which said levy shall be made as
the levy is now made in said Town for the opening, repair and mainte-
nance of streets, avenues and highways of said Town.

Park are hereby invested with such authority and power as may be neces-
sary for the taking over, repair and maintenance of the road hereinbefore
described.

984. Chapter 2Y3 of the Acts of 1894 is hereby repealed so far as the
same applies to Montgomery county, said act being entitled an act to
regulate the practice of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery in the State of
Maryland.

SAVING CLAUSE...

1912, ch. 790, sec. 2.

985. The owners of lands called for in describing the boundaries of
the several municipal corporations mentioned in this act shall be con-
strued to refer to the persons who owned the lands when the original char-
ters of the municipal corporations were granted, or in the cases where the
boundaries have been changed by amendments to the charters, to the time
such amendments were passed.

1912, ch. 790, sec. 3.

986. This act shall not affect or impair any right vested or acquired
and existing at the time of the passage of said act; provided that this sec-
tion shall not be construed to make irrepealable or irrevocable any right
which before the passage of this act was repealable or revocable; nor shall
this act impair, discharge or release any contract, obligation, duty, lia-
bility or penalty whatever now existing. All suits and actions, both civil
and criminal, pending or which may hereafter be instituted for causes of
action now existing or offenses already committed against any law or regu-
lation repealed by this act, shall be instituted, proceeded with and prose-
cuted to final determination and judgment as if this act had not been
passed.
