3574 ARTICLE 16.

E. B. Prettyman, where said lands corner with the lands of Dr. E. E.
Stonestreet, and the old Carter farm, now known as Rockville Heights;
thence with the dividing line between said Rockville Heights, and the
lands of E. B. Prettyman to a point where the tract known as Rockville
Heights, the lands of E. B. Prettyman and the lands of Everett S. Beall
corner, being the southwest corner of the lands of E. B. Prettyman; thence
by a straight line to the corner of the lands of Florence S. Manning and
E. C. Peter, on the west side of the public road from Rockville to the
Great Ealls of the Potomac; thence with the dividing line between the
lands of E. C. Peter and the lands of -said Manning and others, recently
owned by Amos S. Adams, to a point opposite the southwest corner of the
lands of Mrs. Colley; thence to the southwest corner of the lands of Mrs.
Colley; thence with the dividing line between the lands of Mrs. Colley
and the lands of Mrs. Josephine Burford, in a northerly direction to the
Darnestown road; thence in a straight line to the southeast corner of the
old dwelling house on the Copps farm, known as and called "West End
Park," formerly the west dwelling house; thence by a straight line to the
northwest corner of the house on the Frederick road, now occupied by
Edward Warren and family; thence in a straight line to the spring near
where formerly stood the dwelling house of the late John Gr. England;
thence in a straight line to the west side of Horner's lane at a point where
the branch leading from the aforesaid spring crosses said Horner's lane;
thence in a southerly direction and on the west side of said lane to the
point at which said lane intersects the Baltimore road; and thence at said
point across said road to the south side thereof; thence with said Baltimore
road and with the south side thereof; to the intersection of said Baltimore
road and First street on Mrs. Jane Maddox's land; thence with the west-
ern side of said First street to the Washington City or Veir's Mill road;
thence by a straight line to the northeast corner of said fair grounds, the
place of beginning.

792. The citizens of said town having the qualifications prescribed
for voters by this Act, shall, on the first Monday in May, 1928, and every
two years thereafter on the same day, at such place as shall be designated
by the Mayor and Council, between the hours of twelve o'clock at noon
and six-thirty o'clock in the evening elect one person, at least thirty years
of age, mayor of said town, and four persons, not less than twenty-five
years of age, who, together with the mayor, shall constitute the council;
all of whom shall have resided in said town at least three years previous
to their election; they shall receive no pay for their services, except the
Mayor, who shall receive the fees hereinafter allowed; provided, the place
of holding the first election under this charter shall be designated by the
present Mayor and Council of Rockville, who shall also appoint the judges,
and clerks for said election; the judges and clerks for all subsequent elec-
tions shall be appointed by the Council to be elected under this charter.
