2922 ARTICLE 13.

BOUNDARY.

1916, ch. 680, sec. 152.

157. The following boundary line between Baltimore and Harford
Counties is hereby established, to wit: Beginning at a point in the present
boundary line between said counties at the mouth of the Gunpowder River,
and running thence up said river along the present boundary line to the
south end of the gut or channel between Edel's Island No. 1 and Edel's
Island No. 2, as described in the two several patents from the State of
Maryland to Samuel T. Edel, Jr., and others, both bearing date the 2nd
day of October, 1903; thence up said gut or channel to the north end
thereof, and leaving the same, up the Gunpowder River to the place of
beginning, as defined in Section 2 of Chapter 6 of the Acts of 1773, enti-
tled An Act for the division of Baltimore County and for erecting a new
one by the name of Harford.

BRIDGES.

1916, ch. 680, sec. 153.

158. The County Commissioners of Harford and Cecil Counties, re-
spectively, are authorized and empowered, in their discretion, to con-
tribute to the building of a bridge over the Susquehanna River such sum
as they may deem proper, not exceeding fifty thousand dollars for each of
said counties, upon such terms as may be agreed upon by said Commis-
sioners and those engaged in building said bridge; provided, said bridge
when completed shall be and remain free for public travel of every kind
except over railroads.

1916, ch. 680, sec. 154.

159. The bridge referred to in the preceding section as free for public
travel of every kind may be built and operated in connection with a rail-
road bridge, and the railroads using said bridge may be charged toll for
said use; provided, ample provision be made for public travel of any
kind other than that by railroad.

1916, ch. 680, sec. 155.

160. Before the County Commissioners of either of said Counties con-
tract or agree to contribute or subscribe as mentioned in Section 158, they
shall require the plans of such bridge to be submitted to them, and shall
approve the same as providing safe and proper facilities for public travel.

1916, ch. 680, sec. 156.

161. The County Commissioners of each of the said Counties may,
respectively, make said contribution in the shape of a subscription to the
capital stock of a company to be duly chartered under the laws of this
State, to build such bridge upon such terms and conditions as said County
Commissioners may prescribe for the purpose of securing a compliance
with the spirit and requirements of these sections.
