2752 ARTICLE 12.

said County, and that for the purpose of providing for the registration
of voters in said district and the holding of election therein, the said
Supervisors of Elections shall make the necessary appointments and pro-
vide the necessary books, ballot boxes, etc., as are required for other
election districts. All persons living in said district who are entitled to
register shall register in said district.

170. Election district number eight of Garrett County is hereby di-
vided into two voting precincts, to be known, respectively, as the "first"
and "second" election precincts of the eighth election district of said
Garrett County. The division line between the said precincts shall be
as follows: The first precinct shall be the territory within the following
outlines, to wit:

All that part of said election district number eight, as now laid out and
established, east of the summit of Backbone Mountain, and east of the top
of the Mountain from the line of district number seven on the north to
Laurel Run, and the north prong of said Run from its mouth below
the town of Dobbin up said Run and the north prong of said Run to its
source, then by a due north line to the summit of Backbone Mountain and
thence northerly along said summit to the line of district number seven.

The second precinct shall be the territory of said district, as now laid
out and established on the west side of said summit of Backbone Mountain,
and on the west of the Mountain from the lines of election districts to the
State Line, then southerly with the State Line to the Potomac River, and
thence down said Potomac River to the mouth of Laurel Run below the
town of Dobbin, then up said Laurel Run and the north prong of said
run to its source, thence by a due north line to the summit of the Back-
bone Mountain and with the summit of aaid mountain to the line of elec-
tion district number seven.

The voting or polling place for the said first precinct shall be at the
Hove place, the former polling place for said district, and the voting
or polling place for the second precinct shall be at the Red House.

171. The voters, now residing in the first precinct of said eighth elec-
tion district, shall obtain a transfer from the first to the second precinct
in manner and form as now provided by law.

172. Where two or more persons own a tract of land in Garrett County,
Maryland, adjoining each other, each land owner shall be required to
build one-half of the fence between him and his neighbor when requested
so to do by the person whose land he may join.
