be appointed, by the governor, two justices of the peace and by the county
commissioners, two constables for each election district so established.

494. There shall be appointed for Brunswick District or Election
District No. 25 of said county, one justice of the peace, who shall be desig-
nated in his commission by the Governor as the Police Justice of the Peace
for the town of Brunswick; the said justice of the peace to have all the
powers granted such police justice of the peace for the town of Bruns-
wick by the Act of 1898, Chapter 316 of the Laws of Maryland.

495. The police justice of the peace for Election District No. 25 of
said county, provided for in the preceding section, shall be paid by the
County Commissioners of said county, in equal quarterly installments,
the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars per annum, and neither the said
police justice nor any other police justice or justice of the peace sitting in
said election district number twenty-five of said county shall receive any
other or further fees for any services rendered by them, in criminal cases of
arrests for violation of any of the laws of the State of Maryland; and said
justice shall issue, upon application therefor, warrants for the arrest of
persons charged with violating any provisions of the laws of Maryland, and
shall account for and pay over to the Board of School Commissioners for
said county all fines and penalties collected by him which are payable to
said school commissioners under the law, and to the County Commissioners
of said county all fines and penalties collected by him which are payable
to said county commissioners under the law.

496. Section 22 of Article 20 of the Code of Public General Laws of
of Maryland, title "Constables," subtitle "Police Duties of Constables,"
is repealed in so far as the same relates to Frederick county.

497. Section 101 of Article 5 of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland, entitled "Appeals and Errors," subtitle "Appeals from Jus-
tices of the Peace," is hereby repealed so far as the same is applicable to
Frederick County, and that said section shall not hereafter be in force
or have effect in Frederick County, provided the appellant shall have
given a sufficient bond as provided by Section 98 of said Article 5.

498. The judges of the Circuit Court, or one of them, and the judges
of the Orphans' Court, or one of them, may jointly appoint some suitable
person librarian of such public law library, and pass such orders for the
