each case. The entire proceeds of fines c'ollectecl hereunder shall be paid
over to the County Commissioners of Dorchester County and be devoted
by them exclusively to the repair of the roads in said county.

471. John A. Williams, of Caroline County, is authorized and em-
powered to open a new road for public trade, thirty feet wide, as follows:
Beginning in the centre of the road dividing Caroline and Dorchester
Counties, and leading from Federalsburg to Reliance, near the corner
of the plum orchard in said John A. Williams' field, and running through
said John A. Williams' field, south five and a half degrees, east one hun-
dred and twenty-two perches, where it joins the present county road
dividing said counties, near Nathaniel Davis' bridge; and immediately
after the said John A. Williams shall have opened and constructed and
dedicated to the public the said new road, and not before, the said
John A. Williams shall have the right, and is authorized and empowered,
to close up the old road and enclose its bed in his bounds and inclosure,
and from and after the opening of said new road and closing of the
present road, the said new road shall constitute the bounding lines
between the said counties of Dorchester and Caroline in place of the
present road.

472. No person or persons in Dorchester County, notwithstanding
such person or persons may have obtained from the State of Maryland a
trader's, or other, license to barter and sell, shall sell, dispose of, barter,
deal in or give away any article or articles of merchandise on the Sabbath
Day, commonly called Sunday, and any person or persons violating the
provisions of this section shall be tried before any court or justice of the
peace of Dorchester County having criminal jurisdiction therein, and
ivpon conviction thereof shall be fined a sum not less than twenty dollars
nor more than fifty dollars, in the discretion of the court or justice of the
peace trying such case; all fines imposed under this section shall be paid
to the County Commissioners of Dorchester County. This section is not
to apply at any time, to hotels, or to the selling of newspapers. Nor shall
this section apply to apothecaries, licensed restaurants, milk, ice or ice
cream dealers, nor to dealers specializing in the sale of gasoline, oils and
other automobile accessories; nor to licensed garage keepers; nor to
dealers commonly known as confectionery dealers, except between the
hours of 10.30 A.M. and 12.30 P. il., and between the hours of 7.30 P. M.
and 9.00 P. M., said hours being the usual hours when church services are
in progress; nor is this section to apply to shoe shine parlors, prior to
twelve o'clock noon. This section is 1101; to be construed to prevent licensed
restaurants from serving meals as on week clays; nor to prevent apothe-
caries from selling drugs and medicines as on week days; nor to prevent
dealers of any kind from entering their places of business upon the request
