2318 ARTICLE 10.

NOTARIES.

1908, ch. 430 (p. 765).

404. The Governor is hereby authorized and directed to appoint a
female notary public in Toddville, in the Straights or Tenth Election Dis-
trict of Dorchester County, in addition to the several other notary publics
appointed for said county.

See Art. 68, sec. 1, of Annotated Code, which authorized Governor to appoint any
number of Notaries.

OFFICERS' FEES.

P. L. L., 1888, Art. 10. sec. 236. 1876, ch. 216.

405. All accounts for officers' fees shall be made out in a fair and clear
manner and in words at length; and whenever any person interested in
them, or to whom the same are charged, shall require a copy of such ac-
count, said officers.shall, in as short a time as may be convenient, give him
an account of said charges in words at length; and no account for officers'
fees rendered for services to or in behalf of any county of this State shall
be allowed by the County Commissioners thereof, until said account has
been submitted to and approved by the judges of the court of said county
or a majority thereof.

406. The preceding section shall only apply to the counties of Dor-
chester, Charles, Caroline, Harford, Kent, Prince George's, Talbot and
Queen Anne's.

ORPHANS' COURT.

P. L. L., 1888, Art. 10, sec. 238... 1860, Art. 10, sec. 148.

407. They may appoint their own crier, and the County Commissioners
shall annually levy for his use a sum not exceeding one dollar per day for
every day the register of wills shall certify he acted as such.

1929, ch. 101.

408. The Judges of the Orphans' Court of Dorchester County shall
each receive the sum of eight dollars ($8.00) for every day's attendance
upon the sessions of said court, to be paid by the County Commissioners
of said Dorchester County in quarterly payments, upon the certificate of
the register of wills for said county; provided, that no judge absent from
any session of said court shall receive compensation for or during such
absence.*

*Sec. 3, ch. 101, 1929, repealed all laws inconsistent therewith.
