2274 ARTICLE 10.

1914. ch. 364, sec. 4.

279. The Board of Supervisors of Elections of Dorchester County in
the year 1914, and annually thereafter, at the usual time for appointing
judges of election and officers of registration, as is now, or may hereafter
be prescribed by law, shall appoint judges of election and officers of regis-
tration for the said new district, and make all provisions necessary for the
holding of elections thereafter.

1914, ch. 364. sec. 5.

280. The Governor of Maryland, at the January Session, 1916, and
every two years thereafter, shall appoint one justice of the peace for the
said new district; and that the County Commissioners of Dorchester
County in the year 1914, and annually thereafter, at the usual time for
making such appointment, shall appoint one constable for said district;
the County Commissioners of Dorchester County in the year 1914, and
annually thereafter, at the usual time for making such appointment, as
is provided by law, shall appoint a collector of taxes for said new district.
The County Commissioners of Dorchester County shall provide for having
the assessment book which is now titled "Precinct number three, District
number ten," or "Straits," titled "District number eighteen, or Elliott's
Island."

1914, ch. 364. sec. 6.

281. All laws, both general and local, which are now in force in the
said Third Precinct of Election District number ten, or Straits, shall be
and remain in force as they now are, or may hereafter be amended, so far
as they do not conflict with any of the provisions of this Act.

1912, ch. 686.

282. Election District No. 2 of Dorchester County is hereby divided
into two voting precincts to be known respectively as the "First" and
"Second" Election Precinct of the Second Election District of said Dor-
chester County, the division line between the said precincts shall be as
follows:

Beginning at the mouth of Cabin Creek, thence running easterly with
the center of said creek to a point opposite the northern boundary be-
tween the lands of J. A. Bakers and Nat. Moxey; thence interesecting the
said boundary between the lands of J, A. Bakers and Nat. Moxey, run-
ning due south till intersecting the northern branch of Warwick River;
thence running easterly with center of said branch of Warwick River
to a point opposite the northern boundary between the lands of John
Phelan and S. L. Webster; thence intersecting said boundary and run-
ning southerly with the line between the lands of John Phelan and S. L.
Webster straight on till intersecting the center of the State road leading
from New East Market to Cambridge; thence westerly with the center
of said State road till intersecting the line between East New Market
and Linkwoocl; thence northerly with the western line of East New Mar-
