2270 ARTICLE 10.

1894, ch. 491. sec. 5.

261. At the January session of the General Assembly of Maryland, in
the year eighteen hundred and ninety-six, and thence on, as now pro-
vided by law, the Governor of Maryland shall appoint two justices of the
peace for said new district; and at their usual time for appointing con-
stables, as now provided by law, the County Commissioners of Dorchester
County shall, in the year eighteen hundred and ninety-four, and thence
on, appoint two constables for said new district; and a collector of taxes
for the same shall be appointed as soon as may be convenient after the
passage of this Act, as provided by the local law of Dorchester County;
and the County Commissioners of said county shall cause the assessable
property of the said district, number two, or East New Market, and num-
ber twelve, or Williamsburg, embraced in the limits of the said new dis-
trict, to be transferred to the latter.

1894, ch. 491, sec. 6.

262. The provisions of Section 367 of this Article, subtitle "Liquor
and Intoxicating Drinks," shall apply to all the territory including in this
said election district, number fifteen or Hurlock, and continue in full
force and effect.

1904, ch 555.

263. The line between Election District No. 15, known as Hurlock
District, and Election District No. 2, known as East New Market
District, as now laid down is changed, and the lines which shall hereafter
divide said district shall be as follows: Beginning at the mouth of Cabin
Creek and thence running up said Cabin Creek to Lower Cabin Creek
Mill, thence up Cabin Creek Mill ponds and stream and branch until
said stream or branch intersects the county road leading from. Cabin.
Creek village to Shiloh Church, thence with said road to the county road
leading from East New Market to Rhodesdale, and thence with said to the
Forks District line.

264. The Fourth or Taylor's Island* Election District of Dorchester
County is hereby divided into two election districts, to be called District
No. 4 or Taylor's Island District, and District No. 16 or Madison Dis-
trict; and all that part of the said Fourth or Taylor's Island District
westward of a line beginning with the head waters of Parsons Creek and
running with Stewart's Canal to its intersection, with the head waters of
Black Water River, and with said river to the Big Black Water Bridge,
shall constitute the new district No. 4, or Taylor's Island District, with
the voting place of Taylor's Island; and all that part of said Fourth or
Taylor's Island District lying to the eastward of said line of division,
shall constitute the 16th or Madison District, and the voting place shall
be at Madison.

*Formerly Parsons Creek District, but changed to Taylor's Island by ch. 669,
of 1900.
