years or over, such teacher shall receive an annual salary of not less than
eleven hundred sixty-four dollars ($1^164.00).

1920, ch. 379, sec. 4.

609. No assistant teacher, having a first grade, first class, State ele-
mentary certificate, shall receive an annual salary of less than nine hundred
twelve dollars ($912.00) ; provided, if such teacher has taught one year,
such teacher shall receive an annual salary of not less than nine hundred
forty-eight dollars ($948.00), and provided further, if such teacher has
taught two years, such teacher shall receive an annual salary of not less
than nine hundred ninety-six dollars ($996.00), provided, further, if such
teacher has taught three years, such teacher shall receive an annual salary
of not less than one thousand fifty-six dollars ($1,056.00), and provided
further, if such teacher has taught four, five or six years, such teacher
shall receive an annual salary of not less than eleven hundred twenty-eight
dollars ($1,128.00), and provided further, if such teacher has taught seven
years or over, such teacher shall receive an annual salary of not less than
twelve hundred twelve dollars ($1,212.00).

610. All teachers in Allegany County teaching in one-room rural
schools shall receive eighty-four dollars ($84.00) more annually than
teachers having corresponding certificates in graded schools as detailed and

specified in Sections 607, 608 and 609 of this Article.

1920, ch. 379, sec. 6.

611. No assistant teacher in the high schools of Allegany County, hav-
ing a first grade, first class, State high school teacher's certificate, shall
receive an annual salary of less than eleven hundred forty dollars ($1,-
140.00) ; provided, if such teacher has taught one year, such teacher
shall receive an annual salary of not less than eleven hundred seventy-six
dollars ($1,176.00), and provided further, if such teacher has taught two
years, such teacher shall receive an annual salary of not less than twelve
hundred twenty-four dollars ($1,224.00), and provided further, if such
teacher has taught three years, such teacher shall receive an annual salary
of not less than twelve hundred eighty-four dollars ($1,284.00), and
provided further, if such teacher has taught four, five or six years, such
teacher shall receive an annual salary of not less than thirteen hundred
fifty-six dollars ($1,356.00), and provided further, if such teacher has
taught seven years or over, such teacher shall receive an annual salary

of not less than fourteen hundred forty dollars ($1,440.00).

612. No principal of a first group State high school, having a first class

State high school principal's certificate, having taught four years, shall
receive an annual salary of less than twenty-five hundred twenty dollars
($2,520.00), provided, if such principal has taught seven years or over,
