Chapter 770, Acts of Maryland, 1912.

1920, ch. 36, sec. 5.

200. Upon the annual road fund for Charles County, which shall be
levied for the year 1920, and during each succeeding year, the Board of
County Commissioners, or the duly constituted road authorities for said
county, shall issue a warrant upon the treasurer of said county, for one-
half of such sum as may be collected upon the taxable property within the
corporate limits of the town of La Plata, for road purposes; which said
warrant shall be payable to the Town Commissioners of La Plata, and
shall be expended by them for street and road improvement within the
limits of said town.

1927, ch. 300, sec. 7.

201. Upon the completion of said water supply system, the said Water
Supply Commission shall turn over to the Town Commissioners of La
Plata the said water supply system, and any funds from the sale of said
water bonds remaining after the construction and equipment of said sys-
tem shall be used for the redemption of said bonds as they mature and
become payable. The said Town Commissioners shall have full charge of
the operation, management and maintenance of the said water supply
system, including the power to make contracts, to purchase material,
employ all such assistants (skilled or unskilled), and labor as may be
necessary for the proper operation of said water supply system, to make
such rules and regulations for the management of said water supply
system as they may deem proper; to make extensions, additions or im-
provements to said water supply system; and to fix and revise rates or
charges for the use of water and to determine the terms and conditions
upon which water will be furnished to the residents of La Plata or vicinity.
Provided, however, that nothing in this Act contained is intended or shall
be taken or construed as relieving the Town Commissioners of La Plata
from any and all provisions of Sections 346 to 418, inclusive of Article
23 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), known as the
Public Service Commission Law, or any amendments thereto.*

203. The said Town Commissioners are hereby directed and required
to apply all revenues from the water supply system for paving the ex-
penses of properly keeping up and operating said water supply system
and to use the surplus, if any remains, for the payment of interest and for
