sioners, may borrow so much money as may replace such school house, and
no more; and such money shall be applied to the rebuilding of such house
and to no other purpose whatever; and the County Commissioners shall
provide for such indebtedness by an additional levy in the following year.

433. Each member of the County Board of Education of Cecil County
shall receive annually the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars for travel-
ing and other expenses incident to attending the meetings and transacting-
the business of said board.*

TEACHERS—SALARIES.

1920, ch. 547. 1922. ch. 536, sec. 1.

434. On and after September 1, 1922, the white teachers regularly
employed in the public schools and public high schools of Cecil County

shall receive the salaries hereinafter prescribed.

1922, ch. 536, sec. 2.

435. Every white teacher regularly employed in the public schools of
Cecil County holding a third grade certificate shall receive a salary of not
less than seven hundred ($700) -dollars for the first school year and not
less than seven hundred and fifty ($750) dollars for the second and each
succeeding school year.

Every white teacher regularly employed in the public schools of Cecil
County holding a second grade certificate shall receive the following salary
per school year: For the first year not less than eight hundred and fifty
($850) dollars; for the second year not less than nine hundred ($900)
dollars; for the third year not less than nine hundred and fifty ($950)
dollars; for the fourth year not less than one thousand ($1,000) dollars;
for the fifth and succeeding years not less than one thousand and fifty
($1,050) dollars.

Every white teacher regularly employed in the public schools of Cecil
County holding a first grade certificate shall receive the following salary
per school year: For the first year not less than one thousand ($1,000)
dollars; for the second year not less than one thousand and fifty ($1,050)
dollars; for the third year not less than one thousand and one hundred
($1,100) dollars; for the fourth year not less than one thousand one hun-
dred and fifty ($1,150) dollars; for the fifth year not less than one thou-
sand and two hundred ($1,200) dollars; for the sixth year not less than
one thousand and two hundred and fifty ($1,250) dollars; for the seventh
and succeeding years not less than one thousand and three hundred
($1,300) dollars; provided that a principal of an elementary school with
three or more teachers, holding an elementary principal's certificate, shall
