190 ARTICLE 1.

1904, ch. 206, sec. 42. 1912, ch. 168, sec. 42.

518. That a master plumber be appointed by the Mayor of each said
incorporated city or town in Allegany County as a member of the present
Board of Health, and that a master plumber be one of the Board of Health
hereafter appointed from time to time, but in no case shall the Inspector
of Plumbing be a member of the Board of Health, provided that nothing
in this section shall tend to change the membership of a Board of Health,
or add an additional member thereto, where such Board of Health is al-
ready provided for and its membership specified by charter of said incor-
porated city or town in Allegany County.

1912, ch. 168, sec. 44.

519. That the Board of Health of the respective incorporated city or
town in Allegany County are further empowered and are hereby directed
to make such regulations for the control of sanitary plumbing work as in
their judgment is necessary for the proper carrying out the provisions of
this Act, and for the protection of the health of the citizens of the said
town or city. Such regulations as above provided shall deal in detail with
plumbing work, as to weight of pipe, size and kind of pipe, etc.

520. That the regulations issued by the Board of Health of any incor-
porated city or town in Allegany County shall have the same force as the
provisions of this Act, and violations shall be punished as provided for in
Section 501 of this Article.

RACING COMMISSION.*

1906, ch. 493, sec. 1.

521. Lloyd Lowndes, James W. Thomas, Vitus Rossworm, John H.
Holzshu and Johnson R. Morgan and their successors in office are hereby
appointed commissioners to regulate and license horse racing in Allegany
County.

1906, ch. 493, sec. 2.

522. It shall be unlawful for any person or corporation to make or
sell a book or pool on the result of any horse racing in Allegany County
without first being duly licensed by the commissioners provided for by

this Act.

1908, ch. 498, sec. 3.

523. Said Commissioners shall not grant a license to any person or cor-
poration to conduct, or manage horse racing, or to make or sell a book or
pool on the result of such racing unless such person or corporation shall
be duly licensed therefor as provided in this Act.
