1490 ARTICLE 5.

days immediately preceding each meeting of the Board, and by posting
notices in at least five conspicuous public places in said town of North
Beach for at least a week previous to the said meeting. The Board shall
arrange for at least two days of registration, the earliest of which shall
be not more than forty days before the ensuing election and the last of
which shall be held not less than ten days before the election, and the
Board shall be in session on said days from 1 P. M. to 9 P. M. On the
days of registration, thus fixed and determined by the Board, it shall be
the duty of the electors of said town desiring to vote at the ensuing elec-
ion to apply for registration, and no person not so registered shall be enti-
tled to vote at the ensuing election. It is hereby made the duty of said
Board of Registration to register all persons fulfilling the requirements
prescribed in the last preceding section. The list of registered voters so
made shall immediately after the last day of registration be prepared and
revised at North Beach and be posted by said Board in at least five public
places in North Beach and a copy thereof shall be left with the Clerk of
the Council, open to public inspection at any time. From the list so made
the judges of election, hereinafter provided for, shall conduct the ensu-
ing general election (to be held on the fourth Saturday of June of each
year) and such special elections as may be held.

182. The present Mayor and Councilmen of North Beach shall con-
tinue in office and exercise the functions of such offices until November
15, 1924, or until their successors shall be elected and qualified.

183. The persons so named and constituted Mayor and Councilmen
in the last preceding section shall from time to time do and perform all
things required or allowed to be clone by the Mayor and Council under
this subtitle and they are hereby invested with all the powers and are
required to perform all the duties authorized or required to be done by
the Mayor and Council under this subtitle, and they shall continue in
office until November 15, 1924, and until their successors are elected and
qualified.

184. The said Council of North Beach shall at least ten clays prior
to the first Tuesday following the first Monday in November, 1924, and
biennially thereafter give notice of the time and place of holding an
election for Mayor, Treasurer, and Councilmen by posting printed or
typewritten notices in five conspicuous places in the said town, and shall
also publish such notice in some newspaper published in Calvert County,
Maryland, and in one published in Washington, D. C., one insertion, at
least three weeks prior to said election; said judges of election, herein-
before provided for, shall before acting as such take an oath before the
