Maryland providing that at a certain date named in said act the portion
of Curtis Creek over which said bridge will be constructed will 'be within
the limits of the City of Baltimore, then the County Commissioners of
Anne Arundel County shall have no jurisdiction or authority to pass upon
said petition for said bridge but the said street railway company must ob-
tain authority to construct and maintain said bridge from the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore by an ordinance duly passed, and the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore is hereby authorized, although the date on
which said portion of Curtis Creek shall become a portion of the territory
included within the limits of the City of Baltimore might not then be
reached, to grant to such railway company, on such terms as it may see
fit to impose, the right and power to construct, improve and to maintain
for the use of such railway company over Curtis Creek at any point within
the limits of the City of Baltimore as defined by said act extending its
limits. Provided, however, that nothing in this Act shall relieve the said
railway company from the obligation imposed upon it by Section 282 of
Article 23 of Bagby's Annotated Code to obtain the approval of the plans
of said bridge by the Board of Public Works.

1918, ch. 490, sec. 2.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That a street railway company
which shall desire to construct and maintain a bridge for its own use across
Curtis Creek shall not be required to obtain permission for such construc-
tion from the General Assembly of Maryland as required by Section 131
of Article 23 of Bagby's Annotated Code, but said railway company shall
not construct said bridge until it has obtained the authority required by
this Act and by Section 282 of Article 23 of Bagbys Annotated Code.

1918, ch. 490. sec. 3.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That the County Commissioners of
Anne Arundel County are hereby authorized to rebuild the said bridge
over Curtis Creek on its present location, or to rebuild said bridge across
Curtis Creek at any other point selected by it within the limits of Anne
Arundel County of such strength and size to permit its use by street rail-
way cars; and if at the time the said bridge requires rebuilding or relocat-
ing it shall be within the limits of the City of Baltimore then the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore is hereby granted authority to rebuild said
bridge over Curtis Creek on its present location or to rebuild said bridge
across Curtis Creek at any other point selected by it within the limits of
the City of Baltimore of such strength and size as to permit its use by
street railway cars.

Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect on
the first day of June, 1918.

Approved April 10th, 1918.
