for that, in all civil actions competent to be brought before said Justice,
the civil jurisdiction shall not exceed two hundred dollars.

353. There shall be appointed by the Governor as aforesaid, one Jus-
tice of the Peace for Election Districts Numbers 10 and 15, which said
Justice shall be a Justice of the Peace at Large, for said two election dis-
tricts and there shall be none other appointed; said Justice so appointed
shall receive an annual salary of six hundred dollars, payable monthly,
by the County Commissioners for Allegany County, which said salary
shall be in lieu of criminal fees and costs, all of which said criminal fees
and costs, including costs in motor vehicle cases, shall be remitted to the
Treasurer of Allegany County each month; the civil jurisdiction of said
Justice shall be the same as provided in the Code of Maryland, Article
52, Sections 5 to 11, except for that, in all civil actions competent to be
brought before said Justice, the civil jurisdiction shall not exceed two
hundred dollars.
