known ornithologists, certifying to the good character and fitness of said
applicant to be entrusted with such privilege, and must pay to said officer
One Dollar ($1. 00) to defray the necessary expenses attending the grant-
ing of such certificate, the balance to be paid to the State Game Protection
Fund. On proof that the holder of such certificate has captured, or killed
any bird, or taken the nest or eggs of any bird for other than scientific
purposes, the certificate shall become void.

(a) The certificates authorized by this Section shall expire on the 31st
day of December of the year issued, and shall not be transferable.

30. Any person convicted before any Justice of the Peace of this State
for violating any of the provisions of this sub-title shall be fined not less
than Twenty-five dollars ($25. 00) nor more than One Hundred Dollars
($100. 00) in the discretion of the Justice of the Peace and costs for each
and every offense.

Use of Ferret and Weasel Prohibited; Poisoning and
Trapping Prohibited.

31. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons in this State, at
any time, to use any ferret or weasel for the purpose of hunting, capturing
or killing any game birds or game animals which are protected by law.

32. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to kill, attempt to
kill or injure by poison any game birds or game animals protected by law,
or any domestic poultry.

33. Any person convicted before any Justice of the Peace of this State
for violating the provisions of this sub-title shall be fined not less than
Twenty-five Dollars ($25. 00) nor more than One Hundred Dollars
($100. 00) and costs for each and every offense, and in addition to said
fine shall be fined Five Dollars ($5. 00) for each bird or animal so caught
or ensnared.

Field Trials.

34. The Game Warden is authorized to grant permits to bona fide
Field Trials Clubs and Associations to hold field trials with bird or rabbit
dogs in this State any time during the closed season, under such rules and
regulations as may be adopted by said Game Warden safe-guarding the
interest of the wild-life in this State.
