sons; (2) to appoint and fix the compensation of the personnel necessary
to administer this sub-title; (3) to vocationally rehabilitate, and place in
remunerative occupations persons eligible for the benefits of this sub-title;
(4) to make such rules and regulations as may be necessary for the ad-
ministration of this sub-title; (5) to report annually to the Governor on
the administration of this sub-title.

1929, ch, 201, sec. 268.

268. The State Board of Education and the State Industrial Accident
Commission are hereby empowered and directed to co-operate in the ad-
ministration of this sub-title, and to formulate a plan of co-operation, to
become effective when approved by the Governor.

1929, ch. 201, sec. 269.

269. The State Board of Education is hereby authorized and empow-
ered to receive such gifts and donations from either public or private
sources as may be offered unconditionally, or under such conditions as in
the judgment of said Board are proper and consistent with the provisions
of this sub-title. All moneys received as gifts or donations shall be depos-
ited in the State Treasury, and shall constitute a permanent special fund
to be used by the Board in carrying out the purpose of this sub-title. A
report of all gifts and donations received, and all disbursements made there-
from, shall be submitted annually to the Governor.

1929, ch. 201, sec. 270.

270. The State of Maryland does hereby (1) accept the provisions and
benefits of the Act of Congress entitled "An Act to provide for the promo-
tion of vocational rehabilitation of persons disabled in industry or other-
wise and their return to civil employment, " approved June 2, 1920, as
amended June 5, 1924; (2) designate the State Treasurer as custodian of
all moneys received by the State from appropriations made by the Congress
of the United States for vocational rehabilitation of persons disabled in in-
dustry or otherwise, and authorize the State Treasurer to make disburse-
ments therefrom upon the order of the State Board of Education; (3) em-
power and direct the State Board of Education to co-operate with the Fed-
eral Board for Vocational Education in carrying out the provisions of the
Federal Civilian Vocational Rehabilitation Act.

1929, ch. 201, sec. 271.

271. Appropriations necessary to fully effectuate the purpose of this
sub-title shall be included from time to time in the State budget and shall
be made by the General Assembly; provided, however, that the amount to
be appropriated by the State of Maryland under the provisions of this
sub-title shall not exceed Five Thousand Dollars ($5, 000) a year for the
year 1929-30 and 1930-31, nor more than Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15, -
000) for any year thereafter.
