414 LICENSES. [ART. LVI
when done by steam, electric or other power than by hand, shall before
doing so, take out a license therefor, and shall pay an annual license fee
therefor as follows:
Establishments employing less than five persons........... $ 5.00
Establishments employing not less than five persons and not
more than ten persons.................................. $ 15.00
Establishments employing not less than ten persons and not
more than twenty persons............................... $ 50.00
Establishments employing more than twenty persons...... $100.00
Shoe Shining Parlors and Hat Cleaning Establishments.
1916, ch. 704. sec. 181.
181. Each person, firm or corporation conducting a shoe shining
parlor, containing more than two chairs, or hat cleaning establishment,
shall before doing so, take out a license therefor, and shall for each
place of business, pay an annual license fee of $10.00.
Restaurants or Eating Places.
1916. ch. 704. sec. 182.
182. Each person, firm or corporation, resident or non-resident,
operating or conducting a restaurant or eating place, shall before doing
so, take out a license therefor, and shall pay an annual license fee for
each place of business so operated, graduated as follows:
In cities or towns of less than 8,000 inhabitants, for each
place of business..................................... $ 5.00
In cities or towns of 8,000 inhabitants, or over, for each
place of business..................................... $ 10.00
Plumbers and Gas Fitters.
1916, ch. 704, sec. 183.
183. Each person, firm or corporation, not holding a trader's license,
operating or conducting the business of a plumber or gas fitter, shall
before doing so, take out a license therefor, and shall pay an annual
license fee for each place of business so operated, graduated as follows:
In cities or towns of less than 5,000 inhabitants, for each
place of business..................................... $ 5.00
In cities or towns of more than 5,000 inhabitants, and less
than 10,000 inhabitants, for each place of business......... $ 10.00
In cities or towns of more than 10,000 inhabitants, for each
