or maintaining the whole or any part of such Memorial High-
way subject to the provisions of the Constitution and laws of
this State, is hereby conferred upon the United States or any
commission that may be appointed for that purpose under the
laws of the United States.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 641.
AN ACT to refund to certain collectors of State taxes and to
incorporated institutions herein mentioned, moneys erro-
neously paid by them into the State treasury.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the comptroller of the treasury be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to issue his warrant upon the treasurer
of the State in favor of the following collectors of State taxes
and incorporated institutions for moneys erroneously paid by
them into the State treasury, the same having received the
recommendation of the treasury officials, to wit:
Byard Dorsey, collector Fifth District Carroll County for
the year 1905, the sum of forty-four dollars and ninety-five
cents ($44.95); for the year 1906, the sum of sixty-three dol-
lars and fourteen cents ($63.14) ; for the year 1907, the sura1
of one hundred and two dollars ($102.00); for the year 1908.
the sum of one hundred and twenty-eight dollars and twenty-
two cents ($128.22) ; and for the year 1909, the sum of ninety
dollars and forty-six cents ($90.46). Daniel W. Reichard, col-
lector of Washington County for the year 1909, the sum of
twelve dollars and thirty-three cents ($12.33). Samuel C.
Musgrove, collector Howard County for the year 1909, the
sum of ninety-two dollars and twenty-eight cents ($92.28).
George W. Crum, collector, for Frederick County for the year
1909, the sum of three hundred and sixty-six dollars and
seventy-five cents ($366.75). James Schuyler, collector Alle-
gany County for the year 1904, the sum of one hundred and
eighty-nine dollars and eighty-four cents ($189.84), and for
the year 1905, the sum of one hundred and ninety-seven dollars
and two cents ($197.02). William E. Hollinger, collector
Garrett County for the year 1908, the sum of fifty-eight dollars
and forty-seven cents ($58.47), and for the year 1909, the
