PHILLIPS LEE GOLDSBOROUGH, ESQ., GOVERNOR. 895

System Loan Bonds at par and interest and the interest
thereon until paid; therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mayor and Council of Easton be and they are
hereby authorized and empowered to borrow upon the faith and
credit of the town of Easton such sum or sums of money as
may be necessary to reimburse certain citizens of the town of
Easton for the amount of difference between the market value
and par value thereof assumed and paid by them to induce the
sale of forty thousand ($40,000) dollars of 4% Easton Sewer-
age System Loan Bonds at par and interest, with interest
thereon until paid, and they are hereby authorized and directed
to issue bonds or other evidences of indebtedness for the same,
and in such sums and payable at such times as they may by
ordinance prescribe, the said bonds or other evidences of indebt-
edness so issued, together with the interest thereon, to be paid
by the Mayor and Council of Easton. To pay and sancel the
said bonds or other evidences of indebtedness created under the
provisions of this act, the Mayor and Council shall annually
levy a special tax, exclusive of the direct tax otherwise provided
for, upon the assessable property of the town sufficient to pay
the bond or bonds, or other evidences of indebtedness maturing
in each year that may be issued under this act, and the interest
thereon, and the interest on all such bonds or other evidences of
indebtedness outstanding and unpaid; and the amount of said
tax shall be kept separately by the said Mayor and Council and
not used for any other purpose than as herein specified.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 621.

AN ACT to prohibit the sale of certain drugs and patent medi-
cines in any portion of Wicomico county, except as herein
provided, and providing certain penalties for the violation
of same.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That it shall be unlawful for any person or persons, firm
or corporation, directly or indirectly, to sell or otherwise dis-
pose of by way of barter, or give away, in any place of business
within the limits of Wicomico county, any Turlington's Bal-
sam, Jamaica Ginger, Picnic Ginger or any similar prepara-
