CHAPTER 614.
AN ACT to refund to Hanna B. Beasman, wife of Johnzie E.
Beasman, taxes erroneously paid to the State Treasurer.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller is hereby directed to issue his war-
rant upon the Treasurer payable to Hanna B. Beasman, wife
of Johnzie E. Beasman, for the amount of seventy-five dollars
and twenty-four cents ($75.24), said amount having been paid
by her to the county treasurer of Carroll county as State tax
upon eleven thousand, four hundred dollars ($il,400.00), on
personal property erroneously assessed against her for the
years 1909, 1910 and 1911.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
The item in this bill is approved for the sum of twenty-three
and seventy-one one hundredths dollars ($23.71) and disap-
proved for fifty one and 53/100 dollars ($51.53).

CHAPTER 615.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments section 4 of
Article 38 of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Fines
and Forfeitures," so far as said section relates to Anne
Arundel county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 4 of Article 38 of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Fines and Forfeitures," be and the same is hereby
repealed so far as said section relates to Anne Arundel county
and re-enacted with amendments so as to read as follows:
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That one-half the fines imposed
and recognizances forfeited to the Circuit Court for Anne Arun-
del County shall be paid to the clerk of said Court to be
expended under the direction of the judge or judges of said
Court for the augmentation of the library of said Court.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
