SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 11, 1912.

CHAPTER 571.

AN ACT to refund to Henry P. Roth, of Baltimore, Maryland,
sums of money paid by him to the Clerk of the Circuit Court
for Talbot County for certain licenses.

(Vetoed.)

CHAPTER 572.

AN ACT to require the Western Maryland Railway Company
to station a flagman at the crossing of the tracks of said
company on Carroll street in the town of Thurmont, Fred-
erick county.

(Vetoed.)

CHAPTER 573.

AN ACT to amend Article 13 of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Bills of Exchange and Promissory Notes," by
adding thereto two additional sections, the first thereof to
follow section 43 and to be known as section 43A, and the
second thereof to follow section 208 and to be known as
section 209.

(Vetoed.)

CHAPTER 574.

AN ACT to repeal section 37 of Article 19 of the Code of Pub-
lic General Laws, title "Comptroller," as amended by Chap-
ter 445 of the Acts of 1910, and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 37 of Article 19 of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, title "Comptroller," as amended by Chapter 445 of
the Acts of 1910, be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted so as to read as follows:
