in such other way as they may direct," is hereby disapproved.

On page 11, lines 22, 23, 24 and 25, and on page 12, lines
1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of the enrolled act, under the caption "Mis-
cellaneous," the item, "to George H. Lamar, for services as
Attorney at Law under authority of the Attorney-General and
the Governor, in defending the validity and preserving the
effectiveness of the Act of the General Assembly, approved
April 11, 1910, Chapter 220, entitled, "An Act to regulate
fares on the line of the Washington and Rockville Railway
Company in Montgomery County," including incidental
expenses personally defrayed, and the bill of Messrs. Smith
and Hulse incurred for two carbon copies of certain evidence
taken before the Special Examiner, one copy of which, for the
Chief Engineer of the Public Service Commission, and the
other for Special Counsel for the State, amounting to $75.00,
the sum of $1,500.00, is hereby disapproved.

On page 12, lines 5, 6, 7 and 8 of the enrolled act, under
the caption "Miscellaneous," the item, "to the Maryland, West
Virginia Boundary Line Commission, the sum of five thousand
dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, for the
expenses of running, surveying and establishing the boundary
line under the decree of the Supreme Court of the United States
between Maryland and West Virginia, the same to be paid upon
vouchers approved by the Attorney-General, is hereby dis-
approved.

On page 2, lines 8 and 9 of the enrolled act under the cap-
tion "For State Officers," the item, "for the salary of a Medical
Assistant to the State Board of Health, one thousand dollars,"
is hereby disapproved.

CHAPTER 557.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Chapter 395
of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1910,
entitled "An Act to incorporate the town of North Beach, in
Calvert county, Maryland, and to re-enact the same with
amendments, said amendments changing the name of the
municipality, prescribing the organization of the council,
imposing duties on certain officials and authorizing and pre-
scribing a limitation upon the bonded indebtedness of said
municipal corporation.
