Commissioners of Fisheries.
For the salaries of two Commissioners of Fisheries, fifteen
hundred dollars each, three thousand dollars; and to defray
the expenses of the Commissioners of Fisheries as per section
89 of Article 39 of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Fish and Fisheries," sub-title "Commissioners of Fisheries,"
seven thousand dollars, or so much thereof as, in the opinion
of the Governor, may be necessary; together with the further
sum of five hundred dollars to the Commissioner of the West-
ern Shore, to be expended for trout nurseries at Lake Brown;
together with the further sum of one thousand dollars for the
propagation and distribution of fish, no part of the said appro-
priations to be expended in the killing of eels in the Wicomico
River, or in other waters of the State of Maryland; to the
Fish Commissioner of the Eastern Shore, for the propagation
of fish within the waters of the Eastern Shore, the sum of two
thousand dollars, or so much thereof as, in the opinion of the
Governor, may be necessary; and the Commissioners of Fish-
eries are hereby directed and required to make a detailed
report to the Governor at the end of each fiscal year of the
expenditures of said fund, with the vouchers thereof attached.
Militia.
For the support of the organized militia of the State, to be
distributed, applied and expended under the supervision of
the Governor and Commander-in-Chief, in accordance with the
Acts of Assembly in such case made and provided, the follow-
ing sums, or so much thereof as may be necessary, are appro-
priated; for the contingent and necessary expenses of the Adju-
tant General's office and for the maintenance, equipment and
discipline of the land force of the militia, duly organized as
prescribed by said Acts of Assembly, the sum of seventy-five
thousand dollars; for the maintenance, equipment and disci-
pline of the first naval battalion, duly organized as prescribed
by said Acts of Assembly, the sum of ten thousand dollars.
Miscellaneous.
To the University Hospital, the sum of fifteen thousand dol-
lars, to be applied to the debt incurred for the erection of
buildings. To St. John's College, Annapolis, Maryland, the
sum of five thousand dollars for the repair of buildings. To
the McDonough Institute, the sum of one thousand dollars for
maintenance. To the Maryland General Hospital, five thousand
dollars for the establishment of a tuberculosis ward.
