CHAPTER 31.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the Comptroller of the Treas-
ury to refund, and the County Commissioners of Howard
County, to levy and refund to William Davis, Junior, execu-
tor of William Davis, deceased, sums of money erroneously
paid as taxes.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller of the Treasury is hereby authorized
and directed to draw his warrant in favor of William Davis,
Junior, executor of William Davis, deceased, for the sum of
one hundred and fourteen dollars and twenty cents ($114.20),
the amount of State taxes erroneously paid by said deceased for
the years 1857, 1858, 1859, 1860, 1861, 1862, 1863, 1864,
1865, 1866, 1867, 1868, 1869, 1870, 1871, 1872, 1873, 1874,
1875, 18T6, 1877, 1878, 1879, 1880, 1881, 1882, 1883, 1884,
1885, 1886, 1887, 1888, 1889, 1890, 1891, 1892, 1893, 1894,
1895, 1896, 1897, 1898, 1899, 1900, 1901, 1902, 1903, 1904,
1905, 1906, 1907, and 1908.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Howard County are hereby authorized and
directed to levy and pay to William Davis, Junior, executor of
William Davis, deceased, the sum of four hundred and forty-
six dollars ($446.00), being the amount of taxes for county
purposes erroneously paid by the said deceased for the years
1857, 1858, 1859, 1860, 1861, 1862, 1863, 1864, 1865, 1866,
1867, 1868, 1869, 1870, 1871, 1872, 18T3, 1874, 1875, 1876,
1877, 1878, 1879, 1880, 1881, 1882, 1883, 1884, 1885, 1886,
1887, 1888, 1889, 1890, 1891, 1892, 1893, 1894, 1895, 1896,
1897, 1898, 1899, 1900, 1901, 1902, 1903, 1904, 1905, 1906,
1907, and 1908.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 32.

AN ACT to repeal sections 190 and 192 of Article 4 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "City of Baltimore,"
sub-title "Charter," and to repeal and re-enact with amend-
