SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 525.

AN ACT to amend Article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws,
title "Talbot County," sub-title "Easton," by adding thereto
an additional section, to follow section 69 and to be known
as section 69A, "authorizing the Mayor and Council of Easton
to pass an ordinance to prevent the pollution of streams or
waters courses which pass through said town or the suburbs
thereof, and to provide penalties for the violation of such
ordinances."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Talbot County," sub-title "Easton," be amended by adding
thereto an additional section to follow section 69 and to be
known as section 69A.

SEC. 69A. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That in addition to the powers already conferred on the
Mayor and Council of Easton the said "The Mayor and Coun-
cil of Easton" shall have power to pass all such ordinances as
they may deem necessary to prevent the pollution, at any point
in said town or within half a mile of the town boundaries, of
all streams or water courses passing through said town or the
suburbs thereof by persons residing within said town or else-
where, and to provide penalties for the violation thereof.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.'

CHAPTER 526.

AN ACT to appropriate the sum of five hundred ($500) dollars
to be paid to the Claiborne Fresh Air Association, Incor-
porated, for the year 1913.

WHEREAS, The Claiborne Fresh Air Association, Incorporated,
has been formed for the purpose of caring for, administering
to the needs of invalid children and mothers; and,
