PHILLIPS LEE GOLDSBOROUGH, ESQ., GOVERNOR. 705

Baltimore City, not exceeding eight, the sum of thirty dollars
per week instead of twenty-two dollars per week, the pay of
the sergeants provided for in section 745 of Article 4 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, entitled "City of
Baltimore," sub-title "Police Commissioners," as the same
was repealed and re-enacted by Chapter 123 of the Acts of
1898, as repealed and re-enacted by Chapter 425 of the Acts
of 1900, as repealed and re-enacted by Chapter 129 of the
Acts of 1906, as repealed and re-enacted by Chapter 234 of
the Acts of 1908.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Board of Police Commissioners of Baltimore
City be and they are hereby required and directed to pay to the
sergeants assigned by the said board to do clerical duty at police
headquarters of Baltimore City, not exceeding eight, the sum
of thirty dollars per week instead of twenty-two dollars per
week, the pay of sergeants provided' for in section 745 of Arti-
cle 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, entitled
"City of Baltimore," sub-title "Police Commissioners," as the
same was repealed and re-enacted by Chapter 123 of the Acts
of 1898, as repealed and re-enacted by Chapter 425 of the Acts
of 1900, as repealed and re-enacted by Chapter 129 of the Acts
of 1906, as repealed and re-enacted by Chapter 234 of the
Acts of 1908.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 504.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Chapter 321
of the Acts of 1908, title "An Act to provide for the examina-
tion and anditing annually of the accounts of the Board of
County School Commissioners for Queen Anne's County, the
trustees of the poor of Queen Anne's county, the county treas-
urer of Queen Anne's county and the County Commissioners
of Queen Anne's County, and to require the appointment of
an anditing committee with power to summon and swear
witnesses in relation thereto."
