CHAPTER 498.

AN ACT to authorize the payment of additional fees to jurors
in the Second Judicial Circuit for night service.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That whenever any petit jurors, or talesmen sworn in a
case, shall be required to attend and sit in the trial of a case
at a night session of the Circuit Court for any county in the
Second Judicial Circuit of this State, or be otherwise detained
in said Court at night, in the discharge of their duty as jurors,
the Court may, in its discretion, allow each of such jurors and
talesmen compensation for such night service; provided, such
additional compensation shall not exceed two dollars to each
juror for any one night, and shall be paid in the same way
that their per diem is now paid to jurors.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 499.

AN ACT to add one new section to Article 18 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Queen Anne's
County," sub-title "Wild Fowl," to follow section 271 and to
be designated as section 271A, providing that the time for
shooting wild fowl over the waters of Chester River and
its tributaries in the jurisdiction of Queen Anne's county and
over all other waters within the limits of Queen Anne's
county be extended to the twenty-fifth day of April in each
year.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That one new section be and the same is hereby added to
Article 18 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Queen Anne's County," sub-title "Wild Fowl," to follow sec-
tion 271 and to be designated as section 27lA, and to read as
follows:

271 A. The time for shooting wild fowl over the waters of
Chester River and its tributaries, in the jurisdiction of Queen
Anne's county, and over all other waters within the limits of
Queen Anne's county, is hereby extended to the twenty-fifth
day of April in each year.
