meetings of the stockholders may be called by the president or
directors or a majority of them, according to such rules as may
be adopted by the by-laws of said company, and the board of
directors may meet as often as necessary for the transaction of
business of the company. Ten days' notice shall be given
by publication in two newspapers, one published in Allegany
county, Maryland, and the other published in Mineral county,
West Virginia, of the time and place of holding the general
annual meeting of the stockholders, and of the election of
directors of the same as above referred to.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That said company shall have
and enjoy all the general powers, provisions and privileges and
be subject to the general regulations contained in Article 23 of
the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, the said article
known also as the article providing for the formation, powers
and regulations of corporations, so far as the same may not
be inconsistent or in conflict with the special or general regula-
tions, or provisions, powers, rights and advantages conferred or
intended to be conferred by this act.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That the company hereby incor-
porated shall have power to make, construct and maintain a
railroad, tracks and sidings as they may deem expedient for
the transportation of passengers, freight, merchandise and prod-
uce, in cars propelled by electricity in any form, or other
improved motor power other than steam, with the right to erect
and maintain such poles and wires and appurtenances as may
be necessary, and to build the necessary switches to its car barns
and power-bouses, and also to build the necessary turnouts and
connections in the Town of Westernport, as herein provided, to
wit:

Commencing or beginning at the terminus of the Cumber-
land and Westernport Electric Railway in said Town of West-
ernport, said terminus being on the River Road in said town,
and running thence in a southeastwardly direction along said
River Road, three-quarters of a mile within the corporate limits
of said Town of Westernport; then with a county road on the
north side of the Potomac River about three and one-half
miles (3 1/2) ; thence leaving said county road and running
parallel with the north side of the Potomac River southeast-
wardly for about three-quarters of a mile to meet the aforesaid
county road again, and with said road, southeastwardly about
one-half mils to the village of McCoole, in Allegany county,
Maryland, opposite the Town of Keyser, Mineral county, West
Virginia; thence southwestwardly about one thousand (1,000)
feet to and across the Potomac River by a suitable bridge struc-
