shall bear on the face a distinct reference to this act as direct-
ing the issuance of the same and shall be exempt from taxation
in Queen Anne's county and the municipalities thereof.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the commissioners or munic-
ipal officers of said corporation be and they are hereby author-
ized and empowered to sell such bonds at such time and place
in such manner at public or private sale as they may determine;
' provided that no bonds shall be sold at a sum less than its par
value. The proceeds of the sales of said bond or bonds shall
be applied to the cost of constructing or erecting said public
hall and to the cost of acquiring the land upon which to erect
the same and to no other purpose whatsoever.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That said municipal corporation
be and it is hereby authorized and empowered to pass such
ordinances as may be necessary for the purposes of this act and
for the management and protection of said public hall or build-
ing and the use of the same.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That for the purpose of paying
the interest on said bonds and for the purpose of providing a
fund for the payment of said bonds at maturity, the Commis-
sioners of Sudlersville be and is hereby empowered, directed
and required to levy annually a special tax on each one hundred
dollars of the assessed value of all property, real and personal,
in the corporate limits of the Town of Sudlersville, in addition
to the other taxes now authorized to be levied by said munic-
ipal corporation, such sum or sums of money as shall be neces-
sary to pay the annual interest on said bonds and to create a
sinking fund sufficient, in connection with the proceeds of said
legacy devised and bequeathed by Mary V. Cox, late of Queen
Anne's county, deceased, unto the said municipal corporation
by her last will and testament and codicil thereto, to enable
said municipal corporation to redeem and pay off, at their
respective dates of maturity all of the bonds issued by it under
this act.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
