shall be subject to the order of the Good Roads Commission
of Baltimore County, and all taxes levied and collected as
hereinafter provided for the payment of the interest and prin-
cipal of said bonds shall likewise be kept as a separate fund
by said county treasurer. The County Commissioners of
Baltimore County are hereby authorized, empowered and
directed to levy annually upon the assessable property of Bal-
timore county a tax sufficient to pay the interest on said bonds
by them to be issued in pursuance of this act, and are also
authorized, empowered and directed to levy annually upon the
assessable property of Baltimore county a tax sufficient to pay
the principal of said bonds as they respectively mature and
fall due, the tax hereby authorized for the special purposes
herein stated, is in addition to the tax levy for the general or
specific purposes as now provided for in Baltimore county.
For the purpose of promptly meeting the preliminary expenses
of said commission and enabling it to engage in its duties
prescribed by this act without delay, the County Commission-
ers of Baltimore County are hereby authorized, empowered
and directed, immediately upon the passage of this act to
borrow the sum of one hundred thousand dollars upon the
credit of the county, which sum shall be turned over to the
county treasurer and by him placed to the credit of the Good
Roads Commission of Baltimore County, to be drawn on by
it as hereinbefore provided. Said sum so borrowed as afore-
said shall be repaid out of the proceeds of the first sale of
the bonds hereinbefore provided for.
Life of Commission.
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That the work of road
improvement and construction herein provided for shall be
completed, and said Good Roads Commission of Baltimore
County shall cease to exist on or before the 31st day of Decem-
ber, 1918. On or before that date said commission shall turn
over to the Highways Commission of Baltimore County all its
records, journals, accounts, maps, plans and statistics, together
with all machinery and equipment which it may have found
necessary to purchase in the performance of its duties under
this act.
Providing for Payment of Printing, Lithographing and
Engraving of Bonds, and the Advertising of
Same for Sale.
SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Baltimore County be and they are hereby author-
ized and directed to pay all the expenses of engraving, print-
