CHAPTER 333.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments section 27 of
Article 77 of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland
of 1904, entitled "Public Education," the same being
designed to provide for uniform school reports for Baltimore
City and the several counties of the State of Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 27 of Article 77 of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws of Maryland of 1904, entitled "Public Education,''
be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments to read as follows:

27. The Board of School Commissioners of Baltimore City
and the Boards of County School Commissioners of the several
counties shall, on or before the first day of September in each
and every year, make a report to the State Board of Educa-
tion, in such form as may be prescribed by the latter, of the
schools and all matters affecting the educational interests at
the respective counties and Baltimore City; they shall also
publish annually, in such form and manner as they may deem
proper, a statement of their receipts and disbursements, includ-
ing the money received and expended on account of text-books,
and a statement of the indebtedness of the board at the close
of the fiscal year, and the items of expense of the individual
schools, and forward a copy of same to the State Board of
Education.

SEC. 2. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That this act shall take effect from August 1, 1912.

CHAPTER 334.

AN ACT to make an appropriation towards defraying the
expenses of maintenance and repairs of the ice boat "Annap-
olis."

WHEREAS, Two powerful ice boats, the "F. C. Latrobe" and
the "Annapolis," are kept in service for the purpose of keep-
ing the channel approaches to the wharves of Baltimore open
at all times throughout the ice season and thus allowing the
oyster boats to reach the city markets and steamers to land
freight and passengers in Baltimore; and,
