PHILLIPS LEE GOLDSBOROUGH, GOVERNOR. 431

of Fishing Bay, in Straits Election District, in Dorchester
county, Maryland, said wharf or road to extend from the said
land of the said Homer H. Murphy and John O. Murphy out
into the waters of the said Tedion's Creek for a distance not
exceeding two hundred yards, to be of a width not exceeding one
hundred feet and to be immediately in front of the said land
of the said Homer H. Murphy and John O. Murphy, and when
completed to be in a position that it would be included within
the lines of the said land of the said Homer H. Murphy and
John O. Murphy if the lines of said land should be extended
out into the waters of the said Tedion's Creek for a distance
the length of said hereby authorized wharf or road; provided,
such wharf or road be constructed and established on or before
the first day of January, A. D. 1916.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said wharf or road when
so constructed or erected shall be the property of the said Homer
H. Murphy and John O. Murphy, their heirs and assigns for-
ever.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 221.

AN ACT appropriating the sum of twenty thousand dollars
($20,000) to the Southern Settlement and Development
Organization for the fiscal year ending September 30th, 1913,
and the sum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) for the fiscal
year ending September 30th, 1914, and to make an appro-
priation to said corporation by the State of Maryland con-
ditioned upon the maintenance of its central office in Balti-
more City.

WHEREAS, The Southern Settlement and Development Organi-
zation, a corporation of the State of Maryland, is an enter-
prise in whose operations and success the State of Maryland
had a great and permanent interest, and it is proposed to
establish and permanently maintain the central office of said
corporation in Baltimore City.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sum of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) be
and the same is hereby appropriated out of any money in the
Treasury of the State of Maryland not otherwise appropriated
