1904 of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Militia," to
be known as section 98 is hereby enacted; the same to read as

SEC. 98. Any person not now in the National Guard of the
State, but who has heretofore served therein for a length of
time sufficient to qualify him to be placed upon the retired list,
known and designated as the "Maryland National Guard
Retired" as the same is provided for in section 42 of this
article, but who is not upon such list, shall be entitled to be
placed upon such retired list, provided application to be so
placed, be made by such person to the adjutant general of this
State on or before the 31st day of December, 1912.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 216.

ANT ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments section 123 of
Article 33 of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland
(1904), title "Elections," sub-title "Miscellaneous Provi-
sions."

CHAPTER 217.

AN ACT to repeal section fourteen of Chapter 132 of the Acts
of 1890, entitled "An Act to incorporate the town of Lona-
coning, in Allegany County;" and sections three, four and

— seven of Chapter 425 of the Acts of 1892, being amendments
of sections of like number of Chapter 132 of the Acts of
1890; and to re-enact the same with amendments, so as to
read as follows:

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section fourteen of Chapter 132 of the Acts of 1890,
entitled "An Act to incorporate the town of Lonaconing, in
Allegany County," and sections three, four and seven of Chap-
ter 425 of the Acts of 1892, being amendments of sections of
like number of Chapter 132 of the Acts of 1890, be and the
same are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, as
follows:
