and equipping a library and a physical labratory, and making
necessary repairs to the present building known as State Normal
School Number Two, situated at Frostburg, in Allegany county,
said sum of money to be expended by the State Board of Edu-
cation in its discretion for the purposes set forth in this act.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Treasurer of
the State, upon the warrant of the Comptroller, be and he is
hereby directed to pay over the said amount of money kereby
appropriated to the Treasurer of the State Board of Education.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 179.
AN ACT to declare the sanction and consent of the General
Assembly of Maryland to the bequest and devise contained
in the last will and testament of Amanda Harris, of Easton,
Talbot county, Maryland, deceased.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-ry-
land, That the sanction and consent of the General Assembly
of Maryland be and the same is hereby declared, given and
granted to the following gifts, bequests and devises contained
in the last will and testament of Amanda Harris, deceased, late
of Talbot county and State of Maryland, as follows: To the
devise in the 5th item of said will of five hundred ($500) dol-
lars to the Trustees of the Easton Methodist Protestant Church
(Called "Calvary") of the Maryland Conference, in the town
of Easton. Maryland. Also to the devise in the sixth item of
said will of all the rest and residue of said deceased estate unto
the Trustees of the Easton Methodist Protestant Church
(Called "Calvary") of the Maryland Conference.

CHAPTER 180.
AN ACT to enable and authorize the County Commissioners of
Talbot County to construct and build a canal at or near the
village of Eoyal Oak, in said county, connecting the waters
of Broad Creek and Tred Avon River with the waters of
Miles River, provided the cost of constructing and building
said canal shall not exceed the sum of sixty thousand dollars.
