216 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [Ch. 105]

CHAPTER 105.

AN ACT to create a joint commission in Prince George's county
composed of the County Commissioners of said county and
the Board of Road Directors of said county, in order to pro-
vide for the permanent construction of certain roads in said
county by securing State aid under Chapter two hundred and
twenty-five of the Acts of 1904, as repealed and re-enacted
with amendments by Chapter two hundred and seventeen of
the Acts of 1910.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Board of Road Directors for Prince George's
County, created by Chapter ninety of the Acts of 1910, and the
Board of County Commissioners for Prince George's County
be and they are hereby created a joint commission for the pur-
pose of deciding whether or not one and one-eighth miles, more
or less, of the Queen Chapel road, from the District of Colum-
bia line to the intersection of the Old Bladensburg and Rock-
ville road, and one and one-half miles, more or less, to the Riggs
road, from the present terminus of the stone road at Jackson's
Corner to a point where said road meets the road known as
Demineau avenue, all within the borders of Prince George's
county, shall be built and constructed under the provisions of
Chapter two hundred and twenty-five of the Acts of 1904, as
repealed and re-enacted with amendments by Chapter two hun-
dred and seventeen of the Acts of 1910, and if the said joint
commission shall decide that it is right and proper and for the
best interest of Prince George's county that the said roads or
either of them shall be constructed, then and in that event the
said joint commission is authorized to apply to the State Roads
Commission for a proper survey of said roads, and if approved
by the State Roads Commission to have the same constructed.
And the County Commissioners, as the fiscal board of said
county, are directed to use any money now available for the
construction of said roads. And in the event that they shall
not have sufficient money available to pay one-half of the cost
of construction of said roads, that then they are directed to levy
a sufficient sum (in their discretion) to build either or both of
said roads under the said acts. And the County Commissioners
and the Board of Road Directors are authorized to make proper
statement of the amount necessary for the completion of said
road or roads to the State Roads Commission, and to apply as
a joint board for the necessary State aid under said act, and to
construct either or both of said roads in conformity with the
