ized, or any of them are outstanding and unpaid, to levy and
collect a special tax on the property of all kinds and descrip-
tion, liable to assessment and taxation, within the corporate
limits of the City of Cambridge, sufficient to pay the interest
on the outstanding bonds by them issued under the provisions
of this act, and the principal thereof, as the same shall fall
due, until they shall have all been redeemed and retired, and
the proceeds of suck tax as collected shall be, by the Mayor and
the Commissioners of Cambridge, placed to their order in
some safe depository, as a separate and distinct fund, and by
them only applied to the payment of the interest and redemp-
tion of said bonds, when and as soon as they shall become due
and redeemable, and when redeemed said bonds and any cou-
pons shall be cancelled. And the said taxes are pledged to
the payment of the interest and principal of said bonds, and can
be used for no other purposes.
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 100.
AN ACT to repeal sections 228, 229 and 230 of Article 20 of
the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Somerset County,"
sub-title "Roads," and all amendments thereof, including the
amendments thereof, by Chapter 274 of the Acts of the Gen-
eral Assembly of 1910, and to re-enact with amendments
said sections 228, 229 and 230, and said amendments thereof
creating the office of "County Road Engineer" for said
county, and prescribing the duties and powers thereof.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That sections 228, 229 and 230 of Article 20 of the Code
of Public Local Laws, title "Somerset County," sub-title
"Roads," and all amendments of said section, including the
amendments thereof by Chapter 274 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1910, creating the office of "County Road Engi-
neer" for said county, and prescribing the duties and powers
thereof, be, and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
SEC. 228. The County Commissioners of Somerset County
