1564 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [Ch. 797]

CHAPTER 796.

AN ACT to authorize the Governor to appoint five additional
female notaries public for Anne Arundel county, and three
additional female notaries public for Allegany county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Governor be and he is hereby authorized to
appoint, and commission, by and with the advice and consent of
the Senate, five female notaries public for Anne Arundel
county, in addition to the number now authorized by law, and
three female notaries public for Allegany county in addition
to the number now authorized by law.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 15, 1912.

CHAPTER 797.

AN ACT to pay R. L. Werntz, of Annapolis, Maryland, the sum
of eighty dollars and sixty-two cents ($80.62), rent and
interest due and owing him for that part of the City Hotel,
now Colonial Theatre, used as armory and locker rooms by
Companies "G and M" First Regiment Infantry, "M. N.
G." as stated in lease, dated May 12th, 1902, between R. L.
Werntz and State of Maryland acting through John S.
Saunders, Adjutant General.

WHEREAS, By lease filed in the office of the Adjutant General,
it will be shown that Companies "G" and "M" First Mary-
land Regiment Infantry, "M. N. G.," used and occupied
dining room, and two adjoining rooms, as also the rear room,
with adjoining small room on the south side of main hall of
City Hotel, now Colonial Theatre, from the 12th day of
May, 1902, to the 12th day of August, 1904, at a yearly
rental of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00), to be paid
in quarterly instalments of sixty-two dollars and fifty oents
($62.50) each; and,

WHEREAS, By letter of R. L. Werntz filed with said lease it
will be shown, that the rent for last quarter, viz, from May
12th, 1904. to August 12th, 1904, has never been paid. Now,
therefore.
