shall be fined twenty-five dollars for each and every such
offense; on failure to pay said fine and costs the offender shall
be committed to the county jail for twenty days; the one-half
of all fines so imposed under this act shall be paid to the
informer and the remainder to the Board of County School
Commissioners of said county for the use of the public schools
of said county. Provided, that nothing in this act shall pre-
vent the owners of land from Montgomery county from giving
written permission to non-residents to hunt upon their own
lands in said county.
BROOKEVILLE.
1890, ch. 118, sec. 1.
57. That the citizens of the Town of Brookeville, in Mont-
gomery county, be and they are hereby created a body cor-
porate by the name of "The Commissioners of Brookeville,"
with all the favors and privileges of a body politic and cor-
porate, and by said corporate name may have perpetual suc-
cession, sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded in any Court
of law or equity in said county, and may have or use a common
seal.

58. That the corporate limits of said town shall be as fol-
lows : Beginning on the east side of the Brookeville and Wash-
ington turnpike at the end of the dividing line betwen the
lands of John W. Metz and Mrs. Caroline Edmondstone; then
westerly through the lands of William B. Miller and Elisha
J. Hall to a large branch willow tree on the west bank of
Meadow Branch; then with the east bank of said branch to
its intersection with Reedy Branch; thence with the east side
of Keedy Branch to the point where it is crossed by the road
leading to the farm of Mrs. Catherine Higgs; then with the
east side of Back street to its intersection with Spring Branch;
then with said branch through the land of the Protestant Epis-
copal Rectory and Mrs. Caroline Edmondstone to the dividing
line between the lands of said Caroline Edmondstone and John
W. Metz; thence with said line to the place of beginning.

59. That the citizens of said town having resided
therein
six months previous to any election shall, on the first Monday
in May, in the year 1912, or as soon thereafter as conveniently
may be, and on the first Monday in May in every second year
thereafter, elect three Commissioners of Brookeville, to serve
for two years and until their successors shall be elected and
qualified; the commissioners must be substantial citizens resi-
dent in said corporate limits, and must have resided therein
for at least six months next preceding their election; must be
owners of real estate within said corporate limits, and must
continue to reside within said corporate limits during their
term of office. They shall receive no pay for the services,
