1328 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [Ch. 789]

SEC. 10. And be 'it enacted, That 'the said corporation may
loan money on mortgage or may purchase and take an assign-
ment of any mortgage of any building, land or loan association
or individual, and shall hold the said mortgage with all the
rights, powers and privileges of the association, corporation or
individual assigning the same, and may enforce any contract or
stipulation in the same, foreclose, assign or release the same as
fully and effectually as the assignor could have done. Provided,
however, that said bank shall be subject to the provisions of
Article 11 of the Public General Laws of this State, title
"Banks," and any amendments thereof, and the liability of the
stockholders thereof shall at all times be determined by the
laws of the State in force at the time the said liabilities may
attach.

SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That the General Assembly of
Maryland hereby reserves to itself the right to alter, amend or
repeal this act at its pleasure.

SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 789.
AN ACT to add an additional section to the Code of Public

Local Laws, Article 3, title "Baltimore County," to be known

as section 257B.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Article 3 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Baltimore County," be amended by adding a new section
thereto, to be known as section 257 B, to read as follows:

Any person who shall dig up or take away or remove any
sand, gravel, earth, sod or soil from the lands of another within
the limits of Baltimore county or cut down, remove or destroy
any timber, bushes, shrubbery or injure the property in any
manner whatsoever, without his permission; or who shall dump
or deposit upon the lands of another within the limits of Balti-
more county, without his permission any refuse, sand, gravel
or any other substance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and
upon conviction thereof before a justice of the peace of said
county, shall be fined not less than five nor more than fifty
dollars for each offense.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
