CHAPTER 769.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Queen
Anne's county to provide for the building of public school
houses in Centreville, Sudlersville, Templeville, at or near
Love Point, and midway between Church Hill and Sudlers-
ville, or thereabout, and for the building and improvement
of sand-clay, gravel and shell roads and for the building of
new bridges and culverts, wherever the County Road Engi-
neer for Queen Anne's county and the County Commissioners
deem it necessary; also to provide for the building of new
roads and bridges under the State aid or "Shoemaker Road
Law," whenever .petitioned by the County Commissioners of
said county; and to borrow upon the faith and credit of said
county, a sum not exceeding seventy-five thousand dollars,
and to' issue and sell coupon bonds therefor to pay for the
same, and to provide for the levy and collection of taxes to
meet the interest and principal of said bonds as same shall
become due, and to appoint advisory commissions for build-
ing and equipping said public school houses.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That for the purposes aforesaid the County Commission-
ers of Queen Anne's county are hereby authorized, empowered
and directed to borrow on the credit of said county such sum
or sums of money as may be necessary, not exceeding in all the
total sum of seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) ; out of
this total sum of seventy-five thousand dollars there shall be
used for public school purposes as provided for in this act such
& sum or sums as may be necessary not exceeding twenty-five
thousand dollars ($25,000), and of the said sum of twenty-five
thousand dollars allowed for school purposes, the sum of fifteen
thousand dollars thereof, or so much of said fifteen thousand
dollars as may be necessary, is to be used in the erection and

equipment of the primary school building in the town of Cen-
treville, including the purchase of the site for said school build-
ing; and out of this total sum of seventy-five thousand dollars
there shall be used for the building and improvement of sand-

clay, gravel and shell roads, and for the building of new bridges
and culverts, wherever the County Road Engineer for Queen
Anne's county and the County Commissioners deem it neces-
sary, and to provide for the building of new roads and bridges
under the State aid or "Shoemaker Road Law," whenever peti-
