are hereby repealed, for the purposes of this act and insofar
as they are inconsistent herewith.
SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 748.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments section 138
of Article 56 of the Code of 1904 of the Public General
Laws of Maryland, title "Licenses," sub-title "Motor Vehi-
cles," as enacted, repealed and re-enacted by Chapter 207
of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland passed
at the Session of 1910, to provide for the payment of annual
license fees by professional operators of motor vehicles.

CHAPTER 749.
AN ACT to authorize the creation of a State debt in the aggre-
gate amount of four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000),
to be evinced by bonds or certificates of indebtedness, the
proceeds of said bonds or certificates of indebtedness to be
appropriated, applied, devoted and apportioned as follows:
1. For the enlargement and improvement of the Maryland
Tuberculosis Sanatorium, and to that end appropriating
$100,000.
2. For the purchase of land in the City of Annapolis and the
erection thereon of a State Armory and Convention Hall by a
Commission to be styled "City of Annapolis Armory and Con-
vention Hall Commission," and to that end appropriating
$40,000.
3. For the purchase of land in the City of Frederick and
the erection thereon of a State Armory, by a commission to
be styled "City of Frederick Armory Commission," and to
that end appropriating $40,000.
4. For the purchase of land in the City of Salisbury and
the erection thereon of a State Armory, by a commission to be
styled "City of Salisbury Armory Commission," and to that
end appropriating $30,000.
