same shall not exceed the sum of three hundred dollars, and the
County Commissioners of said county are hereby authorized
and required to levy such sum as may be necessary to pay for
said service, and for the costs of the books used for said purpose,
provided the cost thereof and the cost of said service shall not
exceed the sum of three hundred dollars, and in no event shall
the County Commissioners be liable for more than said sum of
three hundred dollars, and the County Commissioners shall not
be liable for any costs if the receipts from the Register's office
shall be sufficient to pay for said wprk after all the office
expenses and salaries are paid and if the office receipts are suffi-
cient or partly sufficient, after the payment of expenses and
salaries, then the costs or such part thereof as the excess of
receipts may be, shall be paid out of the receipts of said office.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 747.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the Mayor and Council of
Easton to build and construct storm sewers in the town of
Easton, and to make certain pipe connections from the gas
and water mains in the said town; also to authorize and
direct the Easton Street Improvement Commission created
under Chapter 117 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of the Session of 1910, to build, grade and con-
struct additional streets in accordance with the provisions of
that act. And authorizing and empowering the Mayor and
Council of Easton to borrow money on the faith and credit
of the said town to pay for the same.
WHEREAS, By Chapter 117 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland of 1910, the Mayor and Council of Easton were
authorized and empowered to issue and sell bonds for the
purpose of building, grading and constructing certain streets
in the said town of Easton; and,
WHEREAS, It has been found expedient to construct in connec-
tion therewith storm sewers, in certain streets; therefore,
SECTION 1.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mayor and Council of Easton be and thev are
