perches, to the northeast corner of the lot of the A. M. E.
Church at the intersection of an alley and the Big Spring road;
thence, fifth, north 68 degrees, east 66 perches, across the inter-
vening portions of land to a point in the west margin of the
Williamsport road; thence, sixth, north 33 degrees, west 7
perches, with said road to its intersection with Mulberry street,
at the northeast corner of a lot owned by David L. Houck;
thence, seventh, north 55 degrees, east 34 1/2 perches, across the
intervening lots to the angle made by a point in an alley at its
outer margin adjoining the land of the heirs of J. T. Snyder,
deceased; thence, eighth, with said alley north 15 degrees, east
18 1/2 perches, to the northeast corner of the said "State road"
on its northern margin; north 80 degrees 20 minutes, east 10
perches, to the place of beginning; provided, however, that for
sanitary and police purposes, the Burgess and Commissioners
of Clearspring shall have and exercise full power and control
for a distance of one-fourth of a mile in every direction from
said corporate limits.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 50.

AN ACT to refund to the estate of William S. B. Preston, late of
Harford county, Maryland, deceased, the sums of money
paid by said deceased to the Treasurer of Harford County
and covered into the Treasury of the State for State taxes
over and above the just and proper amount of such taxes by
reason of a mistake in the addition of the items constituting
the assessment upon the property of said deceased.

WHEREAS, In the year 1902 and for the purpose of the levy of
that year the said William S. B. Preston was assessed by the
County Commissioners of Harford County with real and per-
sonal property of the aggregate value of $3,808; and,

WHEREAS, By a mistake in the addition of the items forming
said assessment the sum total thereof was made to appear on
the assessment books of said county as $4,808; and,

WHEREAS, Said error was not discovered until the year 1910
and previous to said discovery the said William S. B. Pres-
