ments, sections 51, 61, 70, 71, 71A, 71B and 71C of the
Acts of 1910, Chapter 566, and to repeal sections 52, 54,
55, 56, 56B and 56F of the Acts of 1910, Chapter 566;
and to repeal and re-enact with, amendments Chapter 179 of
the Acts of 1906, and to repeal and re-enact with amend-
ments Chapter 152 of the Acts of 1892, and to add a new
section to said Article 14, to be known as section 52.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That sections 49, 58, 59, 60, 62, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 72,
73, 74, 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80 and 81, of Article 14, of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Howard
County," sub-title "Ellicott City," and that sections 51, 61,
67, 70, 71, 71A, 71B and 7lC of the Acts of 1910, Chapter
566; and that Chapter 1Y9 of the Acts of 1906; and that
Chapter 152 of the Acts of 1892 be and the same are hereby
repealed' and re-enacted with amendments, to be hereafter
known as sections 49, 50, 51, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60,
61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75,
76, 77 and 78 of Article 14 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title "Howard County," sub-title "Ellicott City,''
and that sections' 53, 56A, 56C, 56D and 56E of the Acts of
1908, Chapter 419, and that sections 52, 54, 55, 56, 56E and
56F of the Acts of 1910, Chapter 566, and that sections 62
and 77 of said Article 14 of the Code of Public Local Laws
be and the same are hereby repealed; and that one new sec-
tion be added to said Article 14 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland as aforesaid, to be known as section 52.

SEC. 49. The inhabitants of Ellicott City, in Howard
county, are hereby constituted a body corporate, by the name
of the Commissioners of Ellicott City, and by that name may
sue and be sued, purchase and hold real and personal and
mixed property, and may have and use a common seal.

SEC. 50, That the limits of said city shall be as follows,
viz: Commencing at the Arch Bridge, in Baltimore county, on
the Frederick Turnpike road, below the Patapsco Flour Mills,
and from thence running up with Cooper's Branch, to the divi-
sion line between the property of the Granite Manufacturing
Company and John Cavanaugh; thence by a straight line to
Major Peter's gate on the Patapsco Institute road; thence from
said point with a straight line to a point on the Jonestown road
where the line of Major Peter and Gerhard Marisehaun inter-
sects ; thence from said point by a straight line to the northwest,
corner of the house formerly occupied by Leander Burgess, ou
the Frederick Turnpike road; thence from said point to Dr.
