Report of the State Appeal Board for the Fiscal Year
Ending June 30, 1951

HONORABLE SIR:

We herewith submit a report of eases heard and decisions rendered by the State Appeal Board
under the Alcoholic Beverages Law for the fiscal year beginning July 1st, 1950 and ending June 30th,
1951.

In Charles, Queen Anne's, Somerset and Worcester Counties, the Board acts as hearing officers,
their decision being subject to appeal to the Circuit Courts of these counties. One appeal was taken
from the decision of this Board to the Circuit Court of Charles County, and one appeal to the Circuit
Court of Somerset County.

Bi-monthly meetings are held by the State Appeal Board to render decisions in. cases heard; to
discuss pending cases; to set cases for re-hearing so as to afford parties an opportunity to present addi-
tional evidence, etc.; and, where appropriate, to arrange for personal inspection of licensed premises
or of premises proposed to be licensed.
