MISCELLANEOUS RECEIPTS.
Table No. 9 exhibits receipts from various officers during the
fiscal year, amounting in the aggregate to $20,026.77. Of this
sum $5,153.87 was from the Live Stock Scales in the City of
Baltimore; $1,193.55 from the Land Office ; $4,850.79 from the
State Wharfinger in the City of Baltimore, and $7,516.49 from
Grain Inspections. The balance was received from the differ-
ent inspectors of hay and straw in said city.
INTEREST ON ACCOUNTS.
Table No. 10 exhibits in detail the amount of interest received
from Collectors and Sheriffs during the fiscal year, amounting
in the whole to the sum of $6,995.77.
TAXES ON PROTESTS.
The revenue paid into the Treasury during the fiscal year,
by the different Notaries Public, is detailed in Table No. 11,
and amounts in the aggregate to the sum of $6,685.11.
FINES AND FORFEITURES.
The amount of fines and forfeitures paid into the Treasury
during the fiscal year by the different Sheriffs mentioned in
Table No. 12, was $4,433.42.
FOREIGN INSURANCE COMPANIES.
The revenue derived from licenses to Foreign Insurance Com-
panies and tax on premiums upon policies issued by them
during the fiscal year, is exhibited in detail in Table No. 13,
and amounts in the whole to the sum of $62,158.70. I here-
with transmit to your Excellency a copy of the Annual Report
of the Insurance Commissioner, exhibiting in detail the affairs
of all the Insurance Companies, foreign and domestic, doing
business in this State.
BALANCES OF STATE TAXES DUE AND UNPAID.
Table No. 14 shows in detail the balances of State taxes for
the year 1874, due from the various Collectors therein named,
at the end of the fiscal year, amounting in the whole to the sum
of $531,047.61.
